Opting Out of Cookies
Because Adfusion is absolutely committed to privacy and to giving users options,
we offer you a "blank" or "opt-out cookie" to prevent any data from being associated
with your browser. You will still have an Adfusion cookie on your computer, but
to us, it will look like a "Keep Out" sign -- it will tell us not to write a new
cookie on your computer. Your opt-out will be effective for the entire life of your
browser on your hard drive or until you delete the cookie file on your hard drive.
If you have blocked all cookies or opted out, we won't be able to recognize your
computer from one visit to the next. Therefore, you may notice the same ad multiple
times or receive more ads that are not of interest to you. Please note that blocking
and/or opting out of cookies does not stop advertisements from being served to
your computer; rather, it prevents data from being associated with your browser.
Please note that this opt-out process will erase the cookie ID but not the cookie.
It's necessary for us to store this "Keep Out" cookie on your computer in order
to recognize you as an opt-out user. When we see this cookie, we will know not to
attempt to assign other cookies to you in the future, and we will not collect any
information from your use of the Internet. Since the opt-out cookie does not contain
a unique user ID number, it does not allow us to identify your browser uniquely.
Please be aware that should you change computers, install new browsers, update your
Internet browser or delete your cookie, you should repeat this opt-out process.
Unlike cookie usage on the Internet, some private network operators or services
that you subscribe to may use proprietary technology that does not allow third party
advertisers the ability to set cookies, opt-out or otherwise. If you are a user
of, or subscriber to, a private network (i.e., a network not directly connected
to the Internet such as a subscription-based service) you should review your service
provider's terms and conditions for use of the network and their privacy policy.
Due to limitations of the current version of the P3P specification (version 1.0),
Adfusion has one compact policy for both our opt-out cookie and our active (and
persistent) cookie. This compact policy discloses what type of data could be associated
with our active cookie. While the opt-out cookie has the same compact policy, we
want you to be assured that our opt-out cookie does not have the associated data
with it
If you would like to opt-out, please use the opt-out utility below.
